Roland L. “Rocky” Robin – President/Founder/Broker
I attained my pre-med undergraduate studies degree at Tulane University; and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Louisiana University with a designation in Pharmacy. I was a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Louisiana for thirty-five years and I owned and operated a drug store before entering the field of real estate development. I have been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1963, at which time I started my commercial real estate company and originally named it Roland L. Robin and Associates, Inc.
From 1970 through 1978, I served as Vice President of Real Estate and Construction for Chart House, Inc., the largest franchisee of Burger King Restaurants with 367 restaurants, along with Chart House Steakhouse, Luther’s Barbecue and Godfather’s Pizza totaling 1,250 restaurants in 48 states and 4 countries.
In 1978, I returned to my real estate firm where I continued to located sites for Chart House, Inc. Some of my achievements as a developer and owner has been office buildings, industrial parks, medical complexes, hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient surgery centers, and shopping centers.
Ryan L. Robin – Vice President of Development/Broker Associate
Doing the necessary groundwork to acquire the ideal location through proven methods of statistical and physical studies is the key to the success of any retail business.
As Vice President of Development and Associate Broker at Derek Development, my goal is to use my skills in assisting retailers improve its posture in the marketplace by implementing and designing strategies to provide the widest resource base in order to make the best decision in market penetration. All of this is to assist the retailer accomplish market knowledge to minimize the guesswork and make strong decisions to grow and expand.
I bring to Derek Development a practical background in retail development, including sophisticated techniques in research and evaluation. My over thirty years experience in site selection with retail companies nationwide is a contributing factor in attaining the elements necessary to achieve an excellent starting point for development. During that time, I participated in three major acquisitions of publicly held companies. I learned the basics of demographics and site selection at a very young age while working with my father developing insight into these concepts long before I was in the position to use my knowledge to its fullest.
I graduated from University of Saint Thomas in Houston, Texas with Bachelor Degrees in both Business Administration and Economics, and I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Louisiana.
Determined and persistent, I strive toward the goal of moving all negotiations along to successful and beneficial results for all parties involved.
Stacie R. Sibille – Chief Operating Officer/Broker Associate
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to detail help to ensure the continued viability and success of Derek Development’s philosophy, mission and values.
As Chief Operating Officer and Associate Salesperson, with over thirteen years operational experience in senior management, I aim toward demonstrating effective and inspiring leadership as well as stewardship involving all programs and services throughout the entire development process for all parties involved. This includes, but is not limited to, operational and administrative management of financial planning and analysis, human resources, and information technology.
I am a Licensed Louisiana Real Estate Salesperson, and a member of the Realtor Association of Acadiana. I believe the real estate industry is all about people and their expectations; so in order to be a strong relationship builder, it is a requirement to have excellent people skills partnered with a dynamic development leadership team to live up to these high standards.
In my experience I have learned to be successful in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment, one must remain flexible and possess the ability to multi-task, demonstrate resourcefulness in setting priorities, and constantly drive toward clarity and solutions.
